THAILAND

A long revered travel destination, Thailand is the most popular spot to visit in Southeast Asia, and it is easy to understand why. The country caters to tourism with super friendly locals and an infrastructure that makes it a breeze to get around despite long distances. There are so many highlights, but must-sees include exploring the buzzing capital of Bangkok for a few days before heading north to see the temples around Chiang Mai, home to an infamous night market and excellent resorts where interactions with elephants are possible. The south is a hedonistic beach paradise with two coasts packed with islands for all seasons and activities from diving to rock climbing abound. Whether you see Phuket or Railay, Ko Samui or Ko Tao, there is so much to experience, including stunning lagoons, soul-soothing beaches, five-star resorts and world-famous full moon parties. For solo travelers or friends, Thailand is an easy destination to visit.
